Dog Friendly Plants
Now, if you know me you'll probably know I am not known for my green finger skills, keeping plants alive is not exactly something that I am good at, but that said I have managed to keep a few alive, the longest lasting one being a cactus!!
When you first get a dog one of the last things on your list of things that you think about is are the plants you already have in your house and garden safe for your dog to be around.
So I did a little bit of research (yes the last batch of plants I bought have been struggling in the hot weather) to ses if there are any pet friendly and low maintenance as there is a better chance I can keep them alive. So here are some of the ones I liked the look of for you to have a look at, along with a couple of websites if you want to buy any.
So for indoor plants there are loads, but these are the ones I liked the look of, but not sure where they would fit in my house.
For outdoor plants have you considered a mini herb garden for your dog?? The smells are a real treat, and as long as they are not in pee pee range you could use them for cooking as well (not sure I would risk it). The great thing about herbs are they are relatively easy to keep alive and cheap to replace if like me you forget about them. Roemary, Oregano, Flat Leaf Parsley, Mint, and Sage are all good options.
If you are thinking more traditional flowering plants for your garden, Roses, Sunflowers, Snapdragons, Magnolias, Jasmine and Camellias.
